Memory foam is definitely the way to go! I absolutely love that this lumbar support pillow because it's nice and firm, gives just a little to form to my back pressure but gives excellent support. I have been taking it on long trips in the car and I no longer get a stiff back from sitting so long. It has a removable cover to easily remove and drop in the washer and it also has a strap so it can be clipped onto a desk chair leaving no worries about possibly losing it or it moving while using. Overall, an exceptional lumbar support and am thrilled to have it!
